A steady diet of shameful news, government corruption, political shenanigans sometimes needs to be met living a few days unplugged. No FB, no news feeds, no front page stories in the newspaper, no diversions from self-imposed exile on my front porch…or maybe a visit to my brothers on Constagos, my Mediterranean get-away island. Love you all.
So many of us have lived our lives placing unmerited value on the opinions of others while discrediting our personal truth and reality. Breaking the shackles of people-pleasing requires honest self-appraisal, a healthy dose of self-esteem, and an enormous commitment to self-realization.
….as near as the destination may be, it’s still the journey that matters….
It’s a great idea, I’ve kept away from news, FB and all that stuff for a few weeks now and I feel much better 😀😀

Thanks for the visit. Yesterday I realized this is the same old smelly news repurposed for today. Garbage!

We all need a break from it now and then. It can just get too overwhelming.

Thanks for the visit, Larry. Yep, there are other blogging warriors who can take over for a while.

The way I feel is that there’s not a lot we can do about the bad stuff until the election. Except of course to take precautions against the coronavirus, but let’s not go there. Have a relaxing time, either on your front porch or your island, and see you again soon! Xoxo, Timi

Thanks, Timi, I agree. We are to the point where they (Washington, D.C.) no longer hears us. GO BLUE

Yep, bring your bikini, the beaches are waiting for our arrival. Ohhh, one problem. We may have to make this a virtual trip.
